Mesut Özil Gets Revenge On Stoke Police With Twitter Troll

Mesut Özil has trolled Stoke City police on Twitter after helping Arsenal to a 3-0 win over the Potters on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette sealed the points with a late flurry, and Özil was at the heart of the action. Many have suggested the penalty he won for the first goal should not have been given.

But the Germany international has had some fun at the expense of Stoke police, who trolled him back in August after Stoke  won in the reverse fixture, claiming he was missing.

Özil hit back, though, and even used the same ‘#Banter’ to reference the previous tweet.

Although the result will not help Arsenal close the top four gap, it may well have increased Stoke’s chances of relegation.

The Gunners will hope for a good result against CSKA Moscow in the Europa League on Thursday.
