The Red Devils failed to beat struggling Southampton which created the biggest story of the evening but to compound their woes, there was some huge news after the match.

That is because Jose Mourinho confirmed that Romelu Lukaku would miss around two matches having been stretchered off due to a concussion.
While that is no doubt a big blow, it would have been easily dealt with as Zlatan Ibrahimovic waits in the wings to step in his position.
Much to Man United fans disappointment, Jose Mourinho then confirmed that the Swedish forward is expected to miss up to a month of action after sustaining another knee injury.
That leaves the Old Trafford side with only Marcus Rashford an out and out striker, with the Englishman not exactly impressing over the past five or six games.
Whether that could force Jose Mourinho into the transfer window is yet to be seen but with both Lukaku and Ibrahimovic out for the next few weeks, it’s not going to be ideal for the Portuguese boss.
