Massive blow for Chelsea in pursuit of Premier League star
Chelsea are set to miss out on a world-class star from the Premier League with the player reportedly signing a new long-term deal at his current club.
Antonio Conte’s men look set to miss out on Belgian striker and long-term target Romelu Lukaku after it was revealed by his agent that he has signed a new deal at Everton.
The forward has been a huge player for the Toffees since moving from Chelsea originally on loan and then permanently in the summer of 2014.
Lukaku became the club’s record Premier League goalscorer with a goal over Sunderland on Saturday, having only been at the club since 2013.

Romelu is also still in the hunt for top goalscorer in the top flight and is currently joint top on 17 goals with Harry Kane and Alexis Sanchez.
Now, according to his agent on TalkSPORT, the Belgian has signed a new deal and will undoubtedly become the clubs highest paid player ever.
The new deal will come as a boost to Everton with the player attracting attention from all over Europe, with clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United said to be interested.
Now, the players short-term future looks to be secure with the deal said to have been a long-term contract, but whether that will include a release clause is yet to be seen.
