Manchester United’s new pink away kit is set to be released at the city’s official Adidas store on Tuesday afternoon.
The new shirt has caused quite a stir among fans and neutrals, given that it is a shade of pink inspired by an old newspaper cutting from the 1950s.
Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba will be donning the shirt under Jose Mourinho this season. It is hoped they will challenge for the Premier League this season, but there are doubts over that after their first defeat of the campaign to Brighton last weekend.
United's pink away kit will be unveiled on Tuesday at Adidas Manchester. The jersey is believed to be a tribute to the Manchester Evening News "Football Pink" sports section that was available to United and City fans shortly after the final whistle on Saturday afternoon.— MUSC Lebanon (@ManUtdLebanon) August 26, 2018
Images of the shirt did the rounds some time ago, but it appears the design has been confirmed and it is ready to hit the shelves this week. It adds a third shirt to United’s repertoire this season, and continues the theme of different designs for the current season.
On the pitch, Mourinho’s men are preparing to face Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night.
