Manchester United set to target key Napoli figure
Manchester United are lining up a £26 million opening move for Napoli star Faouzi Ghoulam with Chelsea and Liverpool also interested in the defender.
The Algeria international has been out for some time with a knee injury but it is believed Jose Mourinho is keen in signing the player this summer.
Ghoulam is now regarded as one of the most talented left-backs in Italy and United need someone to cement that role with Luke Shaw incapable of doing so and Ashley Young only being a makeshift option.
His pace and crossing ability are among Ghoulam’s strong points which is enough to give anybody the impression he is an attack-minded full-back.

Ghoulam has scored two goals and made 25 assists in 153 appearances – a record topped by only a few Serie A rivals.
It will be interesting to see if United can strike a bargain price – such as £26m – for the full-back.
