Manchester United ready to spend £100 million signing Real Madrid star

Real Madrid are bracing themselves for a massive approach from Manchester United for Gareth Bale.

After abandoning their pursuit of Antoine Griezmann, Jose Mourinho and the Manchester United board want the Welsh winger, and are prepared to pay £100 million to land him.

Bale is far from the only player United have been linked with, after the club expressed an interest in James Rodriguez – who didn’t even make the squad for the Champions League final win over Juventus, and also Alvaro Morata, after deciding they need an out and out number nine.

Bale would of course be a huge buy for United, but if they want one of the brightest stars in Real Madrid’s side, they might have to part with more than cash to land him.

United are not the only side who want someone badly this summer – Real Madrid themselves are keen on landing United goalkeeper David De Gea, and should it emerge that the player himself wants to leave, United may be forced to make a cash plus player swap, and add Bale to their squad.
