Manchester United plan shock deadline day move for Bordeaux striker Diego RolanPublished August 30, 2016
It looks as though Manchester United are not done yet, as far as this summer’s transfer window are concerned.
The Reds have taken the world of football by storm, with transfer dealings this summer, with the likes of Zlatan Ibarahimovic and Paul Pogba arriving at Old Trafford.
United have spent £150m on new additions, but if you thought that Reds boss Jose Mourinho was finished with his summer spending, then think again.
According to French radio station RMC, United reportedly sent a scout to watch Bordeaux striker Diego Rolan at the weekend, with a view of making a formal bid for Uruguayan before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
The Uruguayan did his potential transfer prospects no harm, by scoring the only goal as Bordeaux beat Nantes 1-0.
Bayern Munich, Norwich and Brighton scouts were also in attendance to keep a close eye on the 23 year-old forward, whilst the player was subjected to apparent interest from Everton, earlier this summer, but the Merseyside club failed to step up their interest with a formal bid.
