Manchester United make shock move for Real Madrid star Toni Kroos after Marouane Fellaini injuryPublished August 29, 2016
It looks as though Manchester United are not done yet, as far as this summer’s transfer window are concerned.
The Reds have taken the world of football by storm, with transfer dealings this summer, with the likes of Zlatan Ibarahimovic and Paul Pogba arriving at Old Trafford.
United have spent £150m on new additions, but if you thought that Reds boss Jose Mourinho was finished with his summer spending, then think again.
Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini’s back injury sustained during the 1-0 win at Hull over the weekend, has led to the ‘Special One’ mulling over a move for another centre-midfielder.
Whilst the Portuguese coach has a wealth of midfielders at his disposal, it’s understood that the 53-year-old, would like to add another marquee signing in that position before the end of August.
It’s believed that Mourinho has instructed the Old Trafford hierarchy to make a move for unsettled Real Madrid star Toni Kroos.
The German midfielder is known to be keen on a move to the Premier League, and despite being an important component of the set up in the Spanish capital, the Madrid enforcer would be very open to a move to Old Trafford this summer.
It’s understood that United are preparing an offer of £40m, in a bid to secure the German’s services.
