Manchester United fans have reacted angrily to Nemanja Matic’s performance in the first half of their game at Bournemouth on Saturday.
Callum Wilson struck early to put the in form Cherries in front, before Anthony Martial netted to level the scores at the break.
But Matic appeared to struggle to deal with the home side’s pace and quick passing, with the Red Devils’ midfield overrun generally.
And fans weren’t happy to see the Serb perform so poorly, admitting that warnings from Chelsea fans when he made the £40million move from Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2017.
They certainly made their feelings known.

They was right.
£40m for Nemanja Matic. What were they smoking over there at Old Trafford?

A deflated ball could roll past Matic on the basis of these first 25 minutes. Way off the pace. #mufc

Said it on the blog last week that I felt Matic was finished. Got one decent season out of him. Bad bit of business? Chelsea having last laugh with Jorginho?

Mourinho will be hoping he follows Martial’s example and improves quickly ahead of a crunch week which sees them face Juventus away in the Champions League before next weekend’s Manchester Derby.
