Cristiano Ronaldo has been branded ‘disrespectful’ by Manchester United fans following their side’s 2-1 win over Juventus on Wednesday night.
The Portuguese ex-United man scored his first Champions League goal to open the scoring for Juve, but Juan Mata’s freekick and an own goal by Leonardo Bonucci sealed a shock late win for Jose Mourinho’s men.
After receiving a superb reception at Old Trafford during a Juve win two weeks ago, Ronaldo has upset a number of Red Devils supporters by suggesting they didn’t deserve their win.
.@Cristiano: – We should've won the game easily. Three-four goals. Manchester didnt't do much, in my opinion.

“I was happy for the goal but I am a little bit disappointed,” he said.
“We should’ve won the game easily. Three, four goals. And Manchester didn’t do much, in my opinion.”
“Manchester United did nothing to win the game. You can’t even talk about luck, because you have to find your own luck and in this case we just gifted it to them,” Ronaldo added.
It will be interesting to see just how deep those comments will cut his former club, but many seem to have changed their minds about him.

Utterly disrespectful. Even showed off his abs against us of all clubs. Yet quite a few guys mocked me for saying he shouldn’t receive a warm welcome at OT.

There was no greater feeling than to watch a sad Christiano hide his aging abs and behave. He should have shown some respect. I wish it was a knock out game. #mufc #MUFCJuve

Now, though, United should feel they can qualify from their group with a clash against Young Boys next up.
