Manchester City Tweet Epic Video Of Squad Change After Kyle Walker's Stint In Goal
Manchester City almost broke the internet on Wednesday night after their 1-1 draw in the Champions League with Atalanta. The result means they have to wait for official progression through to the knockout stages and they lost their 100% record, but it will always be remembered for Kyle Walker’s stint in goal at the end of the game.

Raheem Sterling had given City the lead but they were pegged back in the end. The real story started when Ederson came off with an injury. Claudio Bravo came on to replace him not was later sent off meaning Walker had to don the gloves for the final few minutes. He made one save from a free kick but was barely tested at all, which was testament to Pep Guardiola’s sides defending on the night. City’s twitter team won the night though, as they posted a video moving Walker from his usual defensive spot to a goalkeeping one on the official squad roster.
Attention now switches to Sunday’s crunch Premier League game with Liverpool at Anfield. City haven’t won there for 16 years, but will be looking to close the gap at the top of the table with three points. Guardiola has made concerning comments about Ederson’s fitness, but it is unlikely that Walker will be between the sticks. Bravo will step in if the Brazilian misses out, but there have been videos posted of Walker making impressive saves in training!
The rivalry between City and the Reds has intensified in the last year or so and these games have defined the last couple of seasons. Jürgen Klopp’s men will be out for revenge after recording the third highest number of points in the Premier League history last season, but still falling to City at the final hurdle.
There are those who believe City will win their first Champions League title this season. Walker’s small cameo in goal will not define anything, but it was incredibly entertaining and he certainly didn’t embarrass himself.
