Manchester City’s recent feud with city rivals Manchester United has taken a new turn after the club’s official Twitter account trolled Marouane Fellaini.
City and United took their on-pitch battle into the dressing rooms after the recent derby, which Pep Guardiola’s side won 2-1, after a reported bust up.
Now it looks set to head online after City’s social media team taunted Fellaini. They posted asking if anyone could make out a figure on a misty day at the training ground.
When one user replied asking if it was United’s Belgian midfielder, they said “no, it is a football player.”
United are yet to respond, but it comes just days after the squad was filmed mocking Jose Mourinho’s tactics after the 4-1 win over Spurs. Guardiola’s side are currently on an English football record 16-game winning streak and welcome Bournemouth to the Etihad Stadium next week.
