Manchester City have beaten off all competition to secure the services of PSG wonderkid Claudio Gomes, who will join them in the summer.

Gomes, 17, had been viewed as one of the best young players in the French giants; youth set up, but they have been dealt a blow by the news of his departure.

It appears the hope of one day playing for Pep Guardiola has helped Gomes make the decision, with Jose Mourinho and Manchester United also reportedly keen on signing him.
The youngster is yet to make a first team appearance but did captain the PSG side in the UEFA Youth League from time to time, playing 326 minutes in that competition.
