Manchester City are planning to revisit their interest in Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez in the summer.
The newly-crowned Premier League champions attempted to sign Mahrez in January, but the Foxes would not enter into negotiations to sell their star man. The Algerian then went AWOL, which threatened to derail their season.
Claude Puel, the Leicester manager, dealt with the situation perfectly, and Mahrez is ending the season as well as he started it. But he could face the problem again, with Pep Guardiola still keen to sign the player this summer.

It is said Leicester were only willing to discuss a deal worth £90million, but City were only willing to pay £65million. They will not budge on their valuation, but hope the fact there will be more time for Puel to find a replacement will mean he and his bosses are more willing to talk.

If Mahrez were to join City, it would be interesting to see how they would line up with Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling playing so well in his position this season.
