Manchester City to offer youngster in deal for Bundesliga goal-machine
Manchester City will offer Kelechi Iheanacho to as bait in a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, per ESPN.
Aubameyang, 28, has scored 35 times this season, subsequently attracting interest from a number of clubs across Europe, but it is unlikely cash alone will persuade the Bundesliga outfit to part with their star man.
It has been reported that any deal would cost in excess of £60million, but Iheanacho could be the deciding factor in clinching it.
The 20-year-old Nigerian is extremely highly-rated, particularly at the Etihad Stadium. but he is finding first team football tough to come by under Pep Guardiola this season.
Sergio Aguero had been his main competition, but the January arrival of Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, who scored a crucial equaliser at Middlesbrough on Sunday, has pushed him further down the pecking order.
Aubameyang has previously stated his desire to play for Real Madrid, but the temptation to play for Guardiola could be too much for him to resist.
