Manchester City Offers Update On The Concerning Aguero News
Manchester City have moved to calm fears over Sergio Aguero, who after becoming the third highest scorer in Argentinian history, felt faint and was taken to hospital at half time in the match.
The forward reportedly felt dizzy, and there were rumours he fainted, but Manchester City not only claim that is not the case, but they added he would be cleared to fly back to Manchester where their medics could assess him.
It was a poor night for Argentina, who showed that without Lionel Messi, they do struggle – despite a wealth of talent in the side, and were two goals up before they lost 4-2, and managed to make themselves the laughing stock of social media.
In terms of Aguero’s participation in Manchester City’s game this weekend, it seems the club will wait and see how the forward feels, who of course suffered injured ribs after a car crash earlier in the season before going on to become the highest goal scorer in Manchester City’s history and prove how vital he is to Pep Guardiola’s side.
They put out a statement reading: “Sergio Aguero has been cleared by doctors to return to Manchester as planned after suffering a dizzy spell during Argentina’s 4-2 defeat by Nigeria in Krasnodar today,”
“Sergio never lost consciousness, and was taken to hospital for precautionary medical checks.
“He will be assessed by the club’s medical team ahead of this weekend’s Premier League trip to Leicester City.”
