Manchester City close in on third major summer signing
Manchester City are on the verge of completing a third summer signing, according to Sky, with Monaco defender Benjamin Mendy in talks with the club.
Pep Guardiola has already been busy in the window so far, less than a week after the FA Cup final brought the curtain down on the domestic season.
Mendy will join his former Monaco teammate Bernardo Silva and Benfica goalkeeper Ederson, who completed deals for a combined total just shy of £100million, in the last few days.
Fullback has been a real issue for City this season, and with both Garl Clichy and Pablo Zabaleta leaving on free transfers, they need cover.

Mendy has shone for Monaco this season, helping them to win the Ligue 1 title and reach the semi finals of the Champions League. The 22-year-old is likely to cost City around £40mullion.
The report also says Guardiola is still keen to lure Ryan Bertrand, Kyle Walker and Alexis Sanchez to the Etihad Stadium before next season.
