Manchester United are preparing a huge bid for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Caught Offside claim that the Red Devils are willing to pay 103 million euros for the highly rated centre back, and Mourinho has identified Koulibaly as someone who could help his side.
United have been poor this season at the back, and David De Gea has certainly been kept busy. The likes of Victor Lindelof have improved, but Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are simply not good enough.
Mourinho made it clear he wanted a defender in the summer transfer window.
However, the board vetoed his targets – yet it seems this time round they have come to an agreement.
It remains to be seen if Napoli will sell their key man, who has been instrumental for them at the back over the last few seasons as they’ve pushed for the title in Serie A.
United meanwhile need all the points they can get, and face struggling Southampton this weekend.
Mourinho’s men are without Alexis Sanchez, and are a massive 33/1 to beat Southampton with Betfair.
