Manchester United midfielder to take tabloids to court over incredible story
Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is set to take the Daily Mail and the Sun to court after he rejected notions of a love interest connected to several footballers.
The Belgian was dragged into the Wayne Rooney drinking scandal this week which included a single mother who both players had reportedly seen in the past.
The Wayne Rooney claims started when the player was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving when some tabloids claimed that he was driving back a female who he had been partying with.
Claims were obscure but Rooney seemingly did not take action against the tabloids and was just looking for the whole situation to die down.
The player had talks with Ronald Koeman who has disappointed, but the Englishman still played during Everton’s clash with Spurs at the weekend.
Now, Fellaini has been dragged into the claims, with the Daily Mail and The Sun claiming that the midfielder had a fling with party girl Laura Simpson but that fell through after a night out when she reportedly dropped a Big Mac burger in his pool.
Most of the time I do not comment on the false stories written about me, but today is enough and I have instructed my lawyers.— Marouane Fellaini (@Fellaini) September 10, 2017
These were always going to come across as strange stories, and Fellaini is not willing to let it go away silently and tweeted out that he has set his lawyers onto the two tabloids after the claims.
Safe to say, we have not heard the last of this as the legal battle is only just about to get under way.
