Chelsea could well make a huge profit on Willian should the player decide to leave the club this summer, given the transfer war that’s now brewing.
The winger is in high demand, and while a stay at Chelsea isn’t being ruled out at all, it seems he could be off.
Barcelona are reported to have made a third bid for the player of over 55 million euros, and now Manchester United are also keen on the 30-year-old.
Willian himself has made it clear he’s trying to stay away from talk over his future, and it seems that things are more positive than when Antonio Conte was at the club, with Willian of course clashing with the former Blues boss – but he’s also made his admiration for Barcelona’s players very clear.
The Express report Willian said: “Well, they are excellent players with a lot of quality.
“In addition to great players, they are very good friends.
“People speculate a lot.
“We see a lot of things on the internet, but this is not the time to talk about this.
“I’ve not received any information about that.
“I’m trying to focus on my performance, playing for Brazil.”
This would be his last big contract, so you can understand the player wanting to get the most he can out of it and play at the biggest and best clubs – something both Chelsea and United aren’t able to call themselves at the minute.
That being said, Jose Mourinho and Willian have a great relationship and the United manager has now instructed his board to go in for Willian and get his man according to the Express.
That means a bid of around 65 million euros could be on the table from United – and if Barcelona come back in, that will only increase.
