Raheem Sterling wasn’t at his best in Manchester City’s 2-0 defeat at Spurs on Sunday. The England winger has been in terrific form in the opening weeks of the season. However, he wasn’t given space or time on the ball by a Spurs side who were frenetically charging around the pitch.
Despite not making an impact on the result, Sterling did find time to dab. And what a dab it was. Many are calling it the dab of the season. Welcome to modern football, reader.
Sterling collision with Spurs full-back Danny Rose has gone viral because of the City player’s reaction. He whipped his head into his arm impulsively before holding his lower back, looking as though he threw it out. It also looked as though he was doing the dance craze that refuses to die.
