Manchester United may have struggled this season so far, but one man has thrived.
Luke Shaw is managing to put his doubters behind him, and has been a key part of the United side in their opening four games.
So much so, the player was voted the club’s Player of the Month.

Shaw was clearly delighted and means to carry on for the rest of the season, having finally seemed to convince Jose Mourinho of his skills.

However, the player has also revealed how he could have lost his leg, back when he suffered a horror injury while playing for United in the Champions League.
He explained how things could have gone very badly wrong for him.
The Express report he said:
“At the time, they were thinking about flying me back.
“If I’d flown back, I would probably have lost my leg because of the blood clots. I have got two scars down my leg where they had to cut it open and pull them out, the clots.
“I was really close to losing my leg.
“I didn’t know that until six months later, when the doctor told me.
“I had a very serious injury. It was very tough at times.
“It went on for a long period, doing the same things every day. I couldn’t do anything else because of the break.
“It was frustrating.
“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t sometimes think about stopping playing football.
“But I had a lot of good people around me, friends and family, who helped me through it and I came out the other side.
“Thankfully, I feel really strong now and my right leg is as it was before my leg break.”
