Manchester United saw their second loss in three games as they fell to a massive 3-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
Jose Mourinho’s men were poor at the back and punished for being by far the second side in the game – and now the players are speaking out.
After a fiery press conference from Jose Mourinho where he demanded ‘respect’ from the media, Luke Shaw is the latest player to comment on the game.
The player took to social media, and said that the result hurt.
Last night hurt. But I just wanna thank the fans for your amazing support it doesn’t go unnoticed. We will bounce back 👍🏽❤️— Luke Shaw (@LukeShaw23) August 28, 2018
He also made it very clear that while people may claim his relationship with Jose Mourinho is less than perfect, the reality is that they have a strong bond.
“It is a sad night for us, we have got to pick ourselves back up, keep working hard and we need to pick up points after two losses.
“We need to win and win in a good way. We played really well in the first half and if we keep playing like that, and take our chances, then we will win games.
“You see a lot of things in the media that go on about what our dressing room is like, but we have a really good spirit, a really good group of lads who want to work and achieve big things here.
“We have a group of hard workers and amazing talents, everywhere you look on the field. We have got to start taking our chances and I am sure we will start winning games.”
