Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has been handed a reunion with former club Roma in the Champions League semi finals, and the club has already been in touch on Twitter.
The Reds, inspired by 39-goal Salah, eased past Premier League rivals Manchester City 5-1 on aggregate in the last round, while Roma recovered from 4-1 down to knock the mighty Barcelona out on away goals.
Salah, now known as the ‘Egyptian King’ on Merseyside, left Roma last summer after impressing in Serie A. But nobody expected him to perform as he has done this season, even considering his £35million price tag.
CORAL HAVE YOU COVERED!
Although he will face his former club and obviously try to knock them out of Europe, Roma’s official English Twitter account reached out to him as a mark of respect after the draw was made.
Having shown his humility plenty of times this season, Salah responded with an equally nice touch.
