Liverpool target cut-price deal for Bundesliga contract rebel
Liverpool are set to join the race to sign Schalke midfielder Max Meyer, with the German’s contract running out in 2018, per the Daily Mirror.
Meyer, 21, has been dubbed the ‘German Dele Alli’ and was previously priced at around £45million by his club, with clubs such as Bayern Munich said to be ahead of the Reds in the queue for his signature.
But he could be available for around £17million now and Everton and Tottenham are also keeping tabs on him.
Jurgen Klopp has been linked with a number of Bundesliga stars since taking over at Anfield around 18 months ago.
It seems as though he has missed out on another of his targets, with Borussia Monchengladbach star Mahmoud Dahoud set to sign for Klopp’s former club Borussia Dortmund.

But it seems he is intent on adding more creativity in midfield, with Meyer someone who could create competition for the likes of Gini Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana.
