The Daily Mirror believe Klopp is eyeing up Man City keeper Joe Hart and the Merseyside outfit are ready to make a move for the England international next summer once the 29-year-old has completed his season long loan spell at Serie A side Torino.
Hart has impressed in Turin and could well be tempted by a move to Liverpool and there is no doubting that the Etihad Stadium star is a big improvement on Klopp’s current options between the sticks.
Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have both dropped clangers this season and no team in the top seven have conceded more than Klopp’s side.
Hart is a top quality keeper with a strong Premier League pedigree and would cost Liverpool a fee in the region of £25m.
Klopp is also showing genuine interest in Wolfsburg star Julian Draxler according to The Times with the 23-year-old likely to leave the Bundesliga strugglers sooner rather than later.
Wolfsburg paid £30m for Draxler in the summer of 2015 but the World Cup winner is said to have angered the Volkswagen Arena side by looking to engineer a transfer and an exit is on the cards.
PSG and Arsenal are known to court the cultured midfielder but a move for the player won’t come cheap, a fee of £45m might be needed to land the German international, who Klopp knows very well.
Liverpool are genuine Premier League title challengers this season and if they should secure a Champions League spot for 2017/18 then there is every chance the club could push to bring in top signings to further their chances of ending a lengthy domestic title drought.
