Liverpool have set their sights on Inter Milan forward Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa as Jurgen Klopp seeks to strengthen his Anfield attack.

The 20-year-old Brazilian international left Santos for the San Siro over the summer but has barely featured all season, this despite the Serie A side struggling for form.
Thus far Gabigol has managed just 17 minutes of Serie A action this term, spending much of the time warming the bench, and many have therefore questioned why the club forked out £26m to sign the youngster.
Klopp is said to be a fan and is looking to make a move for the forward and could register his interest when the transfer window reopens in January.
Liverpool have opted for a front three of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane for much of the season but Klopp may look to bring in a strong central striking weapon to boost his goal threat and that’s where Gabigol may fit in.
It’s true Divock Origi has been in fine form this season so a move for Gabriel Barbosa may be more with a view to replace injury prone England man Daniel Sturridge.
Gabigol scored 56 goals for Santos prior to his move to Europe and has scored twice in four appearance for the senior national team set-up.
Inter Milan may well be ready to listen to offers for a player they do not seem to value and a move to the Premier League may tempt the Sao Paulo marksman.
