It seems that the honeymoon period is well and truly over for Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
The flamboyant German coach has grabbed the adulation of supporters on Merseyside for his passionate and hardworking style, but as of late fans are starting to question their manager’s bizarre decision making.
It’s well known that the Reds are in somewhat of defensive mess, conceding five goals in their opening two Premier League matches.
Liverpool’s defensive issues had been a major factor for their rather disappointing Premier League finish last season, but despite additions at the back, the big money has been spent further up the pitch.
Despite the arrivals of Ragnar Klavan, and Joel Matip, there have been calls for Klopp to invest even more in defence between now and the end of the transfer window, particularly at left-back where it’s a straight choice between the underperforming Alberto Moreno, and utility man James Milner.
But according to recent news from The Times, the Liverpool boss is planning on shipping more defenders out rather than bringing in reinforcements.
The report claims that Liverpool centre-back Mamadou Sakho, has been made available for a loan deal before the end of the transfer window.
Sakho, who was banned in April for failing a drugs test before Uefa dropped the case in July, will be allowed to restore his match sharpness elsewhere, having not played in a competitive game since the 4-0 win over Everton on 20 April.
The French defender is a fan favourite at Anfield, and given the club’s current defensive crisis, the decision to send Sahko out on loan has confused many on Merseyside.

Liverpool are considering allowing Mamadou Sakho to go out on loan as they look to get the defender back on track.— Tony Barrett (@TonyBarretTimes) August 22, 2016
@tonybarrettimes What the actual fuck? That is sheer stupidity.— Brannagan Ultras (@ZooIander) August 22, 2016
@TonyBarretTimes wtf? and leave us with only 3 fit defenders, and already we have conceded 5 goals in 2 matches.. crazy— allan wright (@awright133) August 22, 2016
Klopp or not, loaning out Sakho would be one of the most pathetic things ever done in recent years. First team French international....joke.— Kloppholic (@Kloppholic) August 23, 2016
Sakho is injury prone & if he's misbehaved then have to back Klopp. However - he's still our best CB so if he goes we need a top CBs in.
