Liverpool are ‘unlikely’ to sign Roma shot-stopper Alisson Becker this summer despite the club looking to make a move for the Brazilian.
That comes from Sky Sports who are now suggesting that Liverpool have been deterred by the amount of money that Roma are asking to sell the player this summer.
The Brazilian is currently with his country at the World Cup and it has been suggested that he would like his future sorted by the start of the world cup which comes at the end of the week.
Though, it looks as though he will be remaining at Roma for another season with Sky reporting that the Reds are not willing to meet the Italian clubs valuation which is said to be a whopping £80million.
To put that in perspective, that is more than double the current transfer record for a goalkeeper which was when Ederson signed for Manchester City from Benfica before last season.
That means that should Liverpool look to sign a top-class goalkeeper for the new season, they must find themselves another shot-stopper who fits the bill.
Jack Butland has been linked with a move over the past couple of years but Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope is also a player who could make the move to Anfield this summer.
Though, one thing is for sure at this moment in time, it is unlikely that Liverpool will be signing Alisson.
