Manchester United could be on the verge of qualifying for the Champions League, and plans are being made ahead of next season. But that isn’t just the case internally at Old Trafford, as the reported FIFA 21 ratings for their squad have been leaked.
Like almost everything, FIFA’s release by EA has been delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. It will now be out in October, rather than September, because next season on the whole has been delayed. It has been a mixed season for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, but it may just have a happy ending.
Yet, some of their star players, most notably David De Gea and Paul Pogba, have come in for heavy criticism, and that could be reflected on the game.
De Gea, who has made a number of high profile errors this season, will see his rating drop by two from 89 to 87. Pogba, meanwhile, has dropped by one to the same rating, from 88. Bruno Fernandes’ impact since a January move from Sporting Lisbon is set to be rewarded with an increase by one to 86.
Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Anthony Martial have all had impressive seasons. As such, they have seen their ratings improved too.
Meanwhile, Luke Shaw has gone from 81 to 82, while Fred, who made a pretty slow start to his career at Old Trafford before settling in this season, has gone from 79 to 81 in one of the biggest increases. This is a United side full of pace and power; they are sure to be one of the most feared sides on FIFA 21, especially if they make a few new signings in the off-season.
Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is said to be their main target, and it’ll be very interesting to see if he can be brought in to the club, having asked to leave the Bundesliga this summer.
