Las Palmas president reveals Liverpool want to sign PSG flopPublished December 29, 2016
Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez exposed a Premier League club in a recent interview with Las Provincia. Which of his players are they after? None. They’re chasing a player that Las Palmas want to sign.
Ramirez admitted that the Spanish side are interested in Jese Rodriguez. The attacker has flopped at Paris Saint-Germain and would love nothing more than to return to his hometown. The only issue is money.
Ramirez said: “Jese Rodriguez is a great footballer. He wants to come to Las Palmas, but he is owned by PSG and earns a salary that is of his level – and that is very high. Liverpool, Milan and Roma want Jese and are ready to pay what he earns.
“We cannot afford that salary.
“With respect to other clubs, we are at a disadvantage and hence we have to wait. But we don’t want to create false expectations.”
Jese looked too good to sit on Real Madrid’s bench before a €25 million switch to PSG in the summer. However, he’s failed to impress in France and has scored only one league goal this season. He could be off in January.
