Jurgen Klopp Poses For Photograph With Former Liverpool Transfer Target
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has sparked speculation by posing for a photograph with a supposed Reds transfer target.
Back in January 2017, Ruben Kazan star Sardar Azmoun was reportedly a target for Klopp as he looked to fill the void left by Sadio Mane as he fled to the African Cup of Nations with Senegal.
But the ‘Iranian Messi’ made it clear at the time he did not feel the move was right:
“There were talks of Liverpool having expressed an interest in me during the past winter transfer window,” he said back in March.
“However, I did not feel the time to move was right.
“I would have ended up playing a few games and then spent a great deal of time on the bench as Liverpool were only looking to fill a void for a particular part of their season.”

This latest photograph, published on Azmoun’s Instagram page, does not suggest the deal will happen, but with Klopp wearing this season’s Liverpool training gear, it is clear it was taken since all the rumours started.
