Jurgen Klopp has lavished praise on Mo Salah after the player impressed once again and won the Player of the Year award.
It’s been a standout season for the player, who has beaten Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne to the personal award and looks on course to win the Golden Boot as well – beating out the rather sensitive Harry Kane in the process.
Klopp noted Salah has done so well to win the award, and that his performances this season, along with the fact that with a player like De Bruyne in the running, it makes it even more of an achievement to win an award voted for by his peers – and that he hopes Salah can help Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final against his former club Roma.
Klopp was understandably proud of Salah, and said:“Fantastic. Really happy for him. He can be really proud. It was a fantastic achievement.
“I didn’t speak to him after it, he was in London, but I will tell him what I want to face to face.

“The season is not finished yet though, there is lots to come.
“I have to say when Kevin De Bruyne plays like this, it makes it even more special.
“The players know how difficult it is to score that many goals.”
He also spoke about the game against Roma, and noted that the fans will have a huge role. “
He said: “This is such a fantastic football club and family.
“Known for fantastic atmospheres around the world, so we don’t need to throw whatever at the Roma bus.
“Please, show them the respect.
“We are only opponents on the pitch. This wonderful city, we can show everyone how wonderful it is.
“We can show that 20 minutes before the game.”
