Jose Mourinho was the subject of a joke from an Italian TV station, who made fun of the Manchester United boss’ recent public spat with Chelsea counterpart Antonio Conte.
The pair became embroiled in argument through their press conferences, which saw them trade insults before they each called a truce, citing ‘contempt’ for one another.
But a new chapter may now be starting after some TV presenters from Conte’s home land asked Mourinho to sign a United shirt outside the Lowry hotel, where he currently lives. It turned out the shirt had ‘Antonio Conte 1’ printed on the back.

As soon as he realised what had happened, Mourinho began to smile and took the joke in good grace. He even posed with the shirt for photographs afterwards.
On the pitch, Mourinho is winning the battle too. His United side are second in the Premier League, three points clear of Conte’s Blues who are fourth.
