Jose Mourinho offers injury update ahead of Tottenham Hotspur clash
Jose Mourinho has offered an injury update ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this weekend.
The Red Devils have been injury hit in recent weeks, and after seeing Jones go off against Huddersfield and the side then losing the game and conceding two goals, Mourinho was obviously keen to have Jones back and fit – and it seems that while the likes of Paul Pogba will not be ready, Jones will.
Mourinho also spoke about the game United played in the Carabo Cup, where they beat Swansea 2-0 through Jesse Lingard goals, and claimed that the young starlets he chose to play did well.
The Express report Mourinho said after the match: “I believe that Phil [Jones] will be fit for Saturday against Tottenham, but apart from that I have no news.
“We were in the game from the first minutes, pressing and forcing things, the attitude was good.
“Scott McTominay did very well, strong in the midfield.
“Axel Tuanzebe started maybe a little shaky, but then we got stability and he came into it.
“There were no injuries either, so it is a good day.”
