Jose Mourinho makes Man United future very clear after links with PSG
Jose Mourinho’s future has been the subject of media speculation for the last few days, and there’s nothing the media like more than the Manchester United manager making a claim they can twist into a story that will get clicks and sell papers.
Luckily for them, when Mourinho spoke about PSG and how his son went to watch them, they got just that, and the contract Mourinho was signing the previous round of newspapers became a move to Paris and a link-up with Neymar, Mbappe and co.
However Mourinho himself has come out and made it clear that in terms of his future, there is very little happening – and it’s the media who are making all of these stories from comments he made that were throwaway and not worth thinking about – according to him that is.
Those who know Mourinho will of course remember his penchant for making claims and come-and-get-me pleas like this when he wants the club to back him, give him more money to spend or a new contract – and this may well be the case once again.
It’s also worth noting Mourinho does not do long term – and a move to PSG in the future would certainly seem to suit both parties, and it could well be the United boss is planting the seeds for seasons to come.
The Evening Standard report Mourinho said: “I think you (in the) English media, you have the answer for that.
“I think that’s the answer – the answer is that nothing is happening. I’m not signing a new five-year contract and I’m not leaving for Paris St Germain. I’m at Manchester United, I have a contract and that’s it.”
