Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has launched into a brutal attack on Willy Caballero after his mistake in Argentina’s defeat to Croatia on Thursday night.
Caballero was responsible for the first goal in the 3-0 defeat, releasing the ball to Ante Rebic, who volleyed home. Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic added to the misery. Jorge Sampaoli has been heavily criticised for his tactics and team selection.

Mourinho, working as a pundit in Russia, said that he could do as well as the 36-year-old Chelsea man in between the sticks.
“One chance, one goal, Caballero in goal or myself would be the same because I would save the same as Caballero, there was not one single dangerous situation.”
Argentina must now beat Nigeria and hope Croatia beat Iceland to make sure they get through to the last 16, but it has been a rocky summer for Lionel Messi and co.
