Italian giants set sights on shock move for Man Utd star
Roma are interested in a loan deal for Manchester United star Anthony Martial, but may be forced to make a permanent offer, per the Daily Mirror.
The Italian giants are looking for a replacement for Mohamed Salah, whom they sold to Liverpool for £34million earlier this summer.
Martial, 21, has struggled to assert himself at Old Trafford under boss Jose Mourinho and may find it even tougher with the imminent arrival of Romelu Lukaku.
It remains to be seen whether United would be willing to let him go, but they are more likely to be happier selling him than loaning him out. Roma could test the water with the Salah money.
The Giallorossi are looking to reshape their squad after the arrival of sporting director and ‘transfer guru’ Monchi from Sevilla. The Spaniard is famed for buying low and selling high.
As well as Salah, Antonio Rüdiger and Leonardo Paredes have also departed the Stadio Olumpico this summer.
