Italian Giants line-up massive £75m bid for Arsenal star
AC Milan are plotting a massive £75m move for Alexis Sanchez in January, according to Don Balon.
The Arsenal striker is unwilling to sign a new contract and looks destined to leave the Gunners by the end of the season. While he was linked with a move to Manchester City during the summer, a deal was not reached in time.
Sanchez is frustrated at the Emirates and seeking a way out of London. AC Milan joins the race to capture the star forward, as the Italian club looks to return to the glory years.
Arsenal can make a huge profit after signing Sanchez from Barcelona for £35m in 2014. A new Chinese owner led to a busy summer of signings in Milan, and the club are expected to spend more in January. A £75m sale would represent a £40m profit for Arsenal.
The Gunners should opt to send the 28-year-old playmaker to Seria A rather than Premier League rivals Manchester City. The question for Sanchez is where will he fit into Pep Guardiola’s already stellar squad as the Citizens currently sit on top of the league.
Arsenal are currently struggling this season, and need new players in January to revive the spirit within Arsene Wenger’s side. A Sanchez deal could ensure big money as the club needs to buy another elite striker.
