Huge Man United legend wants return to play under MourinhoPublished January 05, 2017
Jose Mourinho is a pretty special dude. That’s his nickname after all.
Now, the Manchester United manager could be about to lure one of the club’s all-time legends back.
Patrice Evra is still a huge favourite of the Man United faithful – and it seems he wants to come back to the club. Evra has flirted with the idea in posts with Rio Ferdinand on Instagram, and the player now reportedly has explained just why he wants to go back to Old Trafford.
According to reports, it’s all because of Jose Mourinho, with the left back keen to work under a coach deemed one of – if not the – world’s best.
The Times think that Evra wants to end his career at the club, and at 35 years of age, that would certainly be the case.
Then, a move to a coaching role could be on the cards – and even just to have him provide cover for Luke Shaw this season and to bolster the United dressing room for his close friends like Paul Pogba would be a huge coup for Mourinho and United.
Pogba reportedly loves Evra so much he calls his former teammate ‘Uncle Pat’, and with the two friends from Evra and Pogba’s initial spell at United, the French national side and Juventus, it could well be the key to finally bringing the £89 million best from Pogba.
