Huge claim made about Alexis Sanchez at Man United

Alexis Sanchez has not been at his best since making the move from Arsenal to Manchester United, and many people have speculated as to why.

It’s been noted the player is struggling to fit in, and may even be causing issues for Paul Pogba at the same time – while also managing to set unwanted records for the amount of times he gives the ball away in any given game.

Now, it seems that even Jose Mourinho has claimed he doesn’t think the player will be at his best until next season, and that he needs a chance to adjust to life at the club and the way they do things.

That may be so, but Neil Warnock thinks that letting Alexis express his attacking side and lessening the burden on him when it comes to tracking back will also help, and that could be the key way United and Mourinho see the best of the player, who was benched for their FA Cup win over Brighton.

Warnock said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “You go back to years ago and Chelsea when Mourinho was manager there and he used to bring players off like Arjen Robben and Joe Cole when they weren’t doing their jobs.

“It’s almost like he needs to see something from them defensively to be a United player or a Jose player.

“Whereas I think the fans want to see him just express himself and do what he can do. Whereas Mourinho sees a different side to that.

“I’d like to see the shackles taken off him. He’s one of the best talents in the world but we’re not seeing it.”
