Here's what Manchester United need to do to beat Real Madrid to top star

Not only have Manchester United just been crowned winners of the Europa League, but they’ve also just been handed a huge boost in the race for Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe.

The young star is on the radar of practically all the top clubs in Europe, and it seems that Manchester United and Real Madrid are the ones who are currently leading the race for him.

While many people thought initially Real Madrid were the ones who could land the star, it seems that Mbappe could well be the one who makes the final choice – not his advisers or the agents involved, and all Mbappe really wants is to play football.

Mbappe said: “I’ll be the only one who decides, along with my family. No one will decide for me. I won’t go anywhere where I have been told to go. It’ll be my choice, and I’ll back that choice.

“All I want to do is play. I’m at an age where I have to play. I’m not 35 or 36 years old towards the end of my career or where I have to be careful.”

You’d think that would put Manchester United in pole position, with Real Madrid well known for being a side who buy players and then see their careers stall somewhat, especially after a huge summer of world class talent arriving.
