Germany survived possibly their biggest scare in modern World Cup history with a 2-1 victory over Sweden on Saturday night.
After defeat to Mexico in their first game, another loss would have sent them home. Ola Toivonen opened the scoring for the Swedes, but Marco Reus and Toni Kroos saved the day in the end. Jerome Boateng was also sent off in the second half.
Even a draw wouldn’t have been a great result, because Mexico and Sweden could have drawn the final game to knock them out whatever happened against South Korea.
But now a victory should send them through, provided Mexico beat Sweden.
Gary Lineker tweeted his reaction to the result in typically hilarious fashion, having himself been on the end of heartbreak against the Germans in his career.
Football is a simple game, 22 men chase the ball for 82 minutes and the Germans get a player sent off so 21 men chase the ball for 13 minutes and at the end the Germans somehow fucking win.

Joachim Löw has reportedly said he will continue as Germany boss after the World Cup, but with reported divisions in the camp, there are some doubts as to whether that is the right thing for the country.
