Gary Lineker made his feelings on troubled Argentina legend Diego Maradona very clear following their late win and progression from the World Cup group stages.
The former World Cup winner looked like he was struggling to contain his emotions throughout, and was pictured in several different poses, from being elated, to asleep to dancing with random women.
However, after Argentina found their way back into the lead once again via Marcos Rojo, Maradona decided to give two fingers to the haters – literally.
All the cameras were on him, and that heightened the focus on his behaviour and possible causes for it, and Lineker made it clear it’s simply not acceptable.
“I think he might make the papers for a different kind of celebration,” he said on the BBC.
“There’s a danger of him becoming a laughing stock I’m afraid in many ways.
“But Argentina, a marvellous evening for them, got through and did what they had to do.”

The whole thing was quite sad to see, with Maradona helped from his seat after the game, and his name trending on social media for all the wrong reasons.
For someone who was such a legend of the game to have photos taken looking like this and to be mocked, it’s certainly a sad sight, and that’s what England legend Lineker had spot on.
