Gareth Bale’s agent has moved to deny rumours that the Welsh star could leave Real Madrid for a Premier League return this summer, claiming those suggesting so “have no idea what’s going on”.

Despite winning two Champions Leagues and a LaLiga title during five seasons with Los Blancos, rumours of a move back to England have never disappeared, with Manchester United heavily linked with the former Tottenham man.

But his representative has vehemently denied any truth in the speculation, categorically saying he will be staying at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer before launching into an attack on reporters.

Jonathan Barnett told ESPN: “Gareth is a Real Madrid player and loves Real Madrid, and Real Madrid love Gareth.

“All this talk about leaving is written by reporters who have no idea what’s going on and who need to write something and don’t care if it’s true or not.”

It has been said that Bale is unhappy with his lack of playing time, with Zinedine Zidane often opting for youngsters Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez ahead of him. Don’t miss out on Coral free bets!
