Galatasaray fans have been voted the best in the world after a four-way poll taken by the SportBible.
Not every team has great fans, some have good fans, but some, wow. If you go to the Camp Nou on El Clásico night, Catalunya is focussed and the noise levels are fantastic, but those nights aren’t replicated throughout the year. At Liverpool, European nights are special, while the Yellow Wall at Borussia Dortmund is legendary.
But a Twitter poll written by the SportBible has got the definitive answer. Four teams, including Liverpool and Dortmund, were put to the public, and Turkish side Galatasaray came out on top.
The best atmosphere in world football?— SPORTbible (@sportbible) August 24, 2018
Games at the Türk Telekom Stadium, or “Hell” as it is known, are legendary. The Istanbul Derby is dangerous for spectators and players, but an experience nobody can ever forget.
Flares, smoke and deafening noise are regular fixtures at Gala matches. Liverpool, Dortmund and Celtic, the other sides in the poll, didn’t come close and rightly so.
