Future uncertain ahead of the summer for Tottenham target
Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is remaining coy on the future of international teammate Thomas Lemar, with the North London club reportedly keen to sign him, per Sky.
Lemar has been in fine form for Monaco this season, helping them to the Champions League semi finals and the Ligue 1 title.
He is among a number of players being touted as possible targets for Europe’s elite, alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Benjamin Mendy.
Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester City are keen on the winger, but Lloris refused to be drawn on whether the pair would be linking up at club level.
“You are right to ask the question, but I cannot reply,” he said.
“In France, we used to have a lot of talented players, and it’s true that the new generation are fantastic, but we need to give them time to get the right maturity.”
It is a worthy betting tip to suggest Lemar will indeed leave Monaco this summer.
