Former Celtic manager critical of Arsenal and Arsene Wenger
Not that Arsenal expected any, the Gunners received no praise after both Champions League legs against Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. The post-match analysis on BBC 5 Live radio held pulled no punches.
Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon compared Arsenal to Chelsea, and Arsene Wenger to Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
Lennon said: “Would this happen to Chelsea? Would this happen under Mourinho? I don’t think so.”
The Scottish manager then dug deeper claiming he would not expect such a hammering if it was against a Greek side.
Lennon has never been one to hold back — as a player, manager or pundit — as this is another clear example of that.
Prior to the game Arsenal fans organised an anti-Wenger protest outside the Emirates. The result hardly helped the Frenchman’s cause as manager.
