Past their best? Never really as good as some believed? Or simply not good enough?
Here are a list of ten Premier League players who’s value on FIFA 17 is well beyond reality.
Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea & Belgium) – 89
The Belgian is good..but he’s not THAT good. Chelsea man is rated as the 13th best player in the world….WTF
Bastian Schweinsteiger (Man United & Germany) – 83
There’s no doubting Jose Mourinho hasn’t treated the German with the respect he deserves but there’s also no denying that the veteran midfielder doesn’t deserve a rating as high as he still receives
Simone Zaza (West Ham & Italy) – 80
Italian has a rating of 80. Forget his hilarious penalty miss during Euro 2016, the 25-year-old has a grand total of 25 top tier league goals over the course of his entire career!
Ryan Shawcross (Stoke City & England) – 81
Average clogger at best. How the hell does he score so highly?
Jack Wilshere (Arsenal/Bournemouth & England)- 82
Very much living off his past, the loaned out Arsenal man doesn’t deserve a ranking such as this, he could return to his best but the signs are looking more and more doubtful
Willian (Chelsea & Brazil) – 85
The Blues wide-man is a very decent peformer, solid but by no means spectacular, but not worth this rating.
Dejan Lovren (Liverpool & Croatia) – 82
The error-prone centre-back may be a decent player on his day but sadly his ‘day’ doesn’t come around very often…
Gary Cahill (Chelsea & England) – 83
The Stamford Bridge defender’s rating implies he is one of the best centre-backs in the world….which clearly he isn’t….
James McCarthy (Everton & Republic of Ireland) – 80
Tough tackler isn’t a world-beater so why is his rating be nearly that of N’Golo Kante and the same as Jordan Henderson!
Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea & Spain) – 86
At one time the Blues star was world-class but that certainly hasn’t been the case in recent seasons, so why is he ranked among the 50 best players in the world?
