Fenerbahce offer Hatem Ben Arfa an escape route out of PSGPublished December 27, 2016
Having signed Julian Draxler for £40 million, Paris Saint-Germain are going to make room for the Germany international and that could be bad news for Hatem Ben Arfa. He’s not the only summer signing in danger of being sent packing. In terms of flops, he’s in good company. Grzegorz Krychowiak has tanked. Jese Rodriguez has been a total flop. Thomas Meunier has been a hit, granted, but Hatem Ben Arfa could actually be leaving after just six months.
Ben Arfa got on the wrong side of Unai Emery because of his halfhearted performances in training. He’s since stepped up his game and partially won over the boss but isn’t a regular in the side.
ESPN is reporting that the former Newcastle misfit could be off to Turkey next month. Fenerbahce have been making enquiries about his availability and will make a loan bid in January. Dick Advocaat wanted to sign the playmaker in the summer and will attempt to serenade him again next month. The deal would be a loan one if anything was agreed at all. After securing his dream move, he might want to prove himself here.
